Look, if you read the interview, you know that a lot of Isaiya got left on the abattoir floor — and if you haven’t, fucking get on it, bb. But it felt terribly, terribly unfair to completely deny all of you, so here’s a sampling of some of my favorite fucking things he said, in random order and with scant context.
– on front rocks: ‘Front rock, oh my gosh, I do it the Lil Wayne style. I barely get myself over.’
– on skating the other carolina: ‘South Carolina’s got some good spots. Columbia and Charleston. But yeah, don't ever go to Myrtle Beach. I would not recommend that for anyone. It's basically the diet — it is sugar free Miami.’
– on haters: ‘People was giving me shit about, oh you should not grab a board or you suck. I'm like, dude, you don't even skate anymore. Where's your parts? The fuck? I'm dropping parts, but where's your parts?’
– on scooter homies: ‘How the fuck is the scooter homies more rad than skateboarders? I feel like we're kind of selling out because we got to make money. I understand. But how are they more punk than us? We follow these rules.’
– on me being over tre flips even tho I don’t have them bc I suck: ‘Thank you. Thank you. Everybody can fucking do 'em out the ass. [editor’s note: not me] And then they quit skating talking about, where's my sponsor me tape? Where's my Nike box? What the fuck? You kidding?’

– on NC State fans: ‘They're equivalent to the Pittsburgh Steelers fans. They're just like, this is their year, they think they're going to make it. They go 8-8, they barely make the bowl game. They barely make the playoffs and they fucking suck. Can't stand a motherfucker, dude.’
– on his favorite vid, spirit quest: ‘I think it was just a group of homies that did Spirit Quest. It's one of my favorite skate videos because they have [excellent VX work] … you can be high, sober, or just chill with it. You can watch it and everything blows your mind.’
– on skate scenes that don’t get enough play: ‘Ohio is slept on.’
– on jeff dechesare: ‘What I'm going to say is I like style, but Jeff, I love how he skates. I'm not going to triple flip down a fucking spot that I know I'm going to eat so much shit at.’
